A convenient solution to the problem of checking oil pressure for GM Gen 3 V8 engines.
This tool installs in place of the oil filter, providing ports to attach an oil pressure tester gauge to in lieu of trying to access oil pressure through the sending unit port that has a non standard thread.
Allows for engine oil pressure to be measure.

EN-47971 Oil Pressure Gauge Preluber Adapter

Compatible for Corvette Camaro Malibu and ATS Generation 4 & 5 V8 engines.
If you’re working on a Generation 3 engine you’ll need the other one #7219/J-42907 in this kit instead.
Provides dual port to attach oil pressure tester for bottom or side tester connection.
The oiling system on the small-block V8 engines now requires the use of a unique oil filter.
EN-47971 is installed in place of the spin-on oil filter, and allows existing oil pressure gauge J-21867 or J-21867-A to be attached for engine oil system diagnosis.
J-45299 Engine Pre-luber can also be attached to pre-lubricate the engine prior to starting a replacement engine.
